Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School

Delivered under the Football Foundation Framework for the Horncastle Education Trust, Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School now has a new FIFA-compliant 3G pitch measuring 97 m x 61 m, built and installed by S&C Slatter and completed in October 2026. Designed for both school and community use, the pitch is equipped with goals for 11v11, 9v9, 7v7 and 5v5 football.

The playing surface combines FieldTurf XM7 40 mm turf with a pre-formed shock pad, providing consistent shock absorption and playing performance across the whole pitch. The project also includes 4.5 m high sports fencing, an acoustic fencing barrier, a spectator area with 1.2 m high fencing, new LED floodlights, a storage container and access paths.
