The Ferrers School

Delivered under the Football Foundation Framework for Meridian Trust, the refurbishment of the community football pitch at The Ferrers School was carried out by S&C Slatter and completed in September 2026.

The new FIFA compliant 3G pitch measures 97 m x 61 m and is surfaced with FieldTurf XM7 40 mm turf on a pre-formed shock pad.

The project also includes 4.5 m high sports fencing, a spectator area with 1.2 m high fencing, new LED floodlights, a storage container and access paths. Goals are provided for 11 vs 11, 9 vs 9, 7 vs 7 and 5 vs 5, so the pitch can host every format of the game.
