Home of the Atlanta Falcons (NFL) and Atlanta United (MLS), opened in 2017, with a retractable roof and a capacity of around 71,000, expandable to 75,000.
One of the most demanding conversions of the summer: the permanent surface was fully removed from late January and a completely new drainage, ventilation and sand rootzone profile was built from scratch on the stadium floor.
GrassMaster reinforced the new Kentucky bluegrass and perennial ryegrass pitch with high performance fibres injected into the rootzone, delivering the stability and recovery capacity required by a venue playing 8 matches in under four weeks, including a semi-final during World Cup 2026.
With the roof closed throughout the tournament, the pitch relied on mobile grow-light rigs between games, a scenario where fibre reinforcement is decisive to limit divoting and wear in low-light conditions.
Playing area 105 m x 69 m, for a total reinforced surface of close to 8,000 m².
